Frequently Asked Questions
What time does the show start?
Show times vary, check Mainstage Productions or Children's Theatre for performance times.
What is the difference between a season subscription and StagePass?
A season subscription is one ticket to each of our mainstage shows, in a seat of your choosing. That seat is saved for every year you are a subscriber. A StagePass subscription is like Netflix for theatre. You can come to see a show as many times as you like for one monthly fee. You select your seat each time you come to see a performance. StagePass also applies to our children’s productions, whereas a season subscription is just for the 5 mainstage productions.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes, we offer group discounts for all mainstage and children’s shows.
Ask about our senior, military, and student (17 and under) discounts—only available through the Marriott Theatre box office or by phone at 847-634-0200.
Are refreshments available in the theater?
They are. Typically, an hour before the performance, our downstairs bar opens. You may bring food and drinks purchased at our bar into the theater. Outside food and drink, however, are not permitted. Any take home containers from a Marriott restaurant will be held in the lobby and not permitted in the theatre.
Can I reserve tickets and pay for them when I get there?
Tickets may not be reserved without payment. You may purchase tickets over the phone (847-634-0200) or online with MasterCard, VISA, Discover, or American Express. (Please note, there may be additional fees online.)
Can I purchase tickets at the door?
Yes. Tickets are available for purchase at the box office. Advanced reservations are strongly suggested, however, to ensure you get your seat of choice (and many shows do sell out).
Can I exchange my tickets?
All subscribers receive unlimited ticket exchanges for as little as $4.00 per ticket plus any applicable upgrade fees (does not apply to special Early Weeks offer). All ticket sales and subscriptions are final and non-refundable. All show dates are subject to change.
What if I’m running late to the show?
Out of consideration for all, Marriott Theatre patrons who arrive late will be seated at the discretion of Management. Latecomers may be seated in alternate seating, or may watch productions on the monitors located in the upper lobby until allowed to be seated.
Do you offer dinner packages?
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Night Dinner Theatre: $81 Per person (Excluding Tax and Fees). Click on Dining above or call the box office to purchase at 847-634-0200. Dinner reservation at Three Embers Restaurant will be 2 hours before performance time. Prix Fixe Menu is also available - click here for current menu offerings.
Are performances appropriate for children?
As a courtesy to our patrons, children under the age of 6 will not be admitted to the theatre for most mainstage productions.
Our Theatre for Young Audiences productions are perfect for kids of all ages. Please note: Children under the age of 2 who sit on an adult's lap during a Theatre for Young Audiences performance will not need their own ticket.
Marriott Theatre does not offer advisories about subject matter, as sensitivities vary from person to person. If you have any questions about content, age-appropriateness or stage effects (such as strobe lights or theatrical fog) that might have a bearing on patron comfort, please contact the box office at 847-634-0200.
Is there an intermission?
Most Marriott Theatre Mainstage shows have a 15-minute intermission. Soft drinks, wine, and refreshments are available for purchase at the downstairs lobby. Children's Theatre productions do not have an intermission.
How long is the performance?
Unless otherwise noted on the show page, all children’s productions are under an hour without an intermission. Mainstage productions do vary (with the average being 2 hours plus a 15-minute intermission). To find out the exact length, please visit the individual show page.
Where can I park?
The Marriott Theatre offers free parking just steps from the theatre or resort doors. Valet parking is also available for most performances for a $10 fee by driving up to the theatre entrance. Additional parking is available in the front of the hotel.
