Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella Will Make Your Dreams Come True

This magical fairy tale continues to delight a new generation of theatregoers with the production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA now performing as the last show in season for the Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences.

The perfect outing for the holidays, CINDERELLA is full of warmth and humor, with beautiful costumes and spectacular music. Directed by Laura Rook, this one-hour musical journey features choreography by Associate Artistic Director Katie Johannigman, and musical direction by Nathan Urdangen. The performance was followed by a question-and-answer session with the cast.

In a bustling kingdom, the announcement of the Prince’s Ball stirs excitement as the royal family hopes he will find a bride. Cinderella, burdened by her stepmother and stepsisters' difficult demands, dreams of escaping her life of servitude. With a bit of originality, charm, and elegance (and some magical assistance from her Fairy Godmother!), she attends the ball and enchants the Prince but must flee at midnight, leaving behind a glass slipper. The next day, the Prince searches the kingdom for the slipper's owner, and possibly true love.


Packed with beloved songs like “Ten Minutes Ago,” “Impossible,” and “My Own Little Corner,” RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN’S CINDERELLA transports a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of dreams come true!

Jaeda LaVonne as “Cinderella” has a beautiful singing voice and we’re happy to see her on the Marriott stage. Handsome Trey DeLuna is the charming “Prince” who makes her believe dreams can come true. Lillian Castillo as “Fairy Godmother” steals the show with her magical, enchanting performance. It’s always great to see Lorenzo Rush Jr. on stage, here as “King.”
